Temperament is the innate aspect of an individual's personality, such as introversion or extroversion. It is defined as that part of the personality which is genetically based. Along with character, and those aspects acquired through learning, the two together are said to constitute personality. — Wikipedia

The Extroverted Irrational (EP)
Extroverted irrational types, namely the ILE, SLE, SEE, and IEE, are characterized by impulsive and unpredictable behaviour. — Wikipedia
I could also say that EP's also come across as adaptable and flexible able to "go with the flow" in a situation that demands it. Thus we may get some random unexpected reactions to a situation where some kind of plan or schedule may have been expected.
The Extroverted Rational (EJ)
Extroverted rational types, namely the ESE, EIE, LIE, and LSE, are characterized by energetic and proactive behaviour. — Wikipedia
I could also say that EJ's also come across as outgoing as in you wouldn't find them stuck behind a computer screen for hours on end unless their work demands it. They can also appear definitive as in "I know what I want to achieve" and don't usually flutter about.
The Introverted Irrational (IP)
Introverted irrational types, namely the SEI, IEI, ILI, and SLI, are characterized by lack of motivation, inertia, and unstable moods and energy levels. — Wikipedia
I might also say that IP's tend to come across as versatile and unruffled in a social situation. On the one hand they can act quite self-contained possibly seeing a lot and saying nothing although they can swing the other way at a moments notice to engage with others when necessary.
The Introverted Rational (IJ)
Introverted rational types, namely the LII, LSI, ESI, and EII, are characterized by slow and methodical behaviour. — Wikipedia
I would lastly say that IJ's tend to come across as stable and balanced in a social situation. They may also act quite self-contained with some or little need to interact with others until they choose to engage with others probably after having a moment to "take the environment on-board" their senses.
Conclusions
- Types with extroverted temperaments tend to get "jazzed up" by a social situation. They generally have a need to "make the first move" with others in a social situation in order to feel at ease.
- Types with introverted temperaments tend to get a degree of overwhelm by a social situation. They share a need for establishing boundaries with others since their primary focus is on themselves and their own thoughts.
- Introverts tend to be self-contained and reclusive waiting for an "extrovert" to make the first move on them. However, through recognition of this faulty expectation (that leads to isolation and shyness) they can employ "the 3 second rule" where they have three seconds to 'jump in the deep end' by 'breaking the ice' with someone quickly, swiftly and without fear in a social situation.
- Extroverts tend to resemble turtles that left their shells behind ages ago whom regain their inner-peace so to speak by virtually creating new shells through communal social interaction. This doesn't mean that they can't be shy except for them its different to stereotypical "introverts". The phenomenon of the "shy extrovert" represents a problem to me in not knowing or applying basic listening skills.
