What is Logistics?

The planning, implementation, and coordination of the details of a business or other operation. — Dictionary.com

Quadras + Logistics = "QuadGistics"

A fresh way to describe how information gets passed around the four quadras thus leading to the planning, implementation and coordination of turning ideas into reality. — WhiteKnight82WhiteKnight82

Preferential Relationships

  • The "young world" of Alpha and Beta appears to me to have a good working relationship together due to a mix of creative innovation and belligerent trend-setting. In other words, a continuum of cutting-edge ideas that need crafting like a sword. The blending of technology with artistic appreciation to create something functional and aesthetically pleasing also.
  • The "old world" of Gamma and Delta appears to me to have a good working relationship together due to a mix of scrupulous business and humanistic servitude. In other words, a continuum of reliable marketing methods that get support of consumer's loyalty. The blending of opportunities to supply and reward the demands of educated followers also.

Objectionable Relationships

  • The "young world" of Alpha and Beta would appear to me as finding the "old world" ways of Gamma and Delta to be unpleasant, ill-favoured and questionable. In other words, as natural advocates of Individualism we would have to give up our inalienable rights to personal achievement. To work for a company in awe of an almighty corporation would be like selling one's creative soul to the devil.
  • The "old world" of Gamma and Delta would appear to me as finding the "young world" ways of Alpha and Beta equally as unpleasant, ill-favoured and questionable. In other words, as natural advocates of Collectivism they would have to give up their alienable rights to impersonal achievement. To work as one's own boss in awe of an almighty self would be like selling one's social status to the devil.

Individualism + Collectivism = "A necessary evil for achievement"

  • How does an "old world" corporation expect to recruit the next batch of "young world" professionals?; OR
  • How does a "young world" professional expect to work for a paradoxical "old world" corporation?

What is my solution to this fascinating problem?

Well firstly in my opinion it is "easier" to be a collectivist than an individualist and due to the vast resources and influences of Gamma and Delta already in place I would say its an easy trap to fall into, collectivist or not.

So what can we do about this mess? I believe one of two things, either…

  1. Stand tall and rebellious with two fingers firmly poised upwards towards society and selfishly focus on one's own needs as is the nature and requirement of true (personal) achievement; OR
  2. Give in, renounce one's self to fatalism with acceptance of all things and events as inevitable thus losing the nature and requirements for true (personal) achievement;

Don't get me wrong though, the "old world" of Gamma and Delta serves a good purpose but only when they don't get caught up in their greedy desires for exploitation or extortion to the detriment to the rest of society.

Why change the way things work if it keeps the rich and poor divided?

Because its easy to the "old world" to do exactly what is characteristic of old people. That is, to lose all their childhood dreams and enthusiasm and fall resolute to closed-mindedness, stubbornness and over-protectiveness of their conservative methods etc. especially in business.

Ageism works both ways…

When we're young we want to be "grown-ups". When we're "grown-ups" we want to be young. Now stereotypically speaking we know that the "young world" is full of smart people with enthusiasm and vision. The "old world" is characteristically "dead" renounced to fatalism with denial of new thought and innovation to revive one's life in various aspects.

20th Century Industrial Age

Most corporations believe the past still has relevance in today's Information Age. That means standardised "factory hours" e.g. "9-5" with little or no room for flexibility in working ethos. Fixed salaries that reward superficial things like loyalty and punctuality. Bosses more concerned by your "drone-like" ability to do repetitive work (with a smile) rather than raw "white paper" talent. Keep overheads to a minimum by employing the best idiots for the role and screen the real potential away.

So what is an individual to do?

Play devil's advocate periodically and "screw the screwdrivers", resign before they make you redundant anyway (because any educated individual can get too big for his boots) then sue them for unfair dismissal.

Okay I'm having a good joke here although there is some truth to it. Any "educated fool" can see how a corporation tries to exploit and control one's self and others under a guise of politics. For example, it is better to employ a sociable idiot then a shy genius when creating that ideal "collective consciousness" for the organisation where only the boss has any real control. Remember, no "I" in teamwork in this paradigm.

My solution coming up next thus gets inspired by this quotation:

"Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you become." — Jim Rohn

The struggle to find decent employment is taxing on the brain and stressful thus why follow the herd when being a mindless robot is a key requirement. On another front you're damned if you do and damned if you don't in regards to too much honesty about yourself and perhaps why you have "gaps" on your CV. How does one justify to a collectivist the 2 years of no solid work history because… er.. I'm an individualist on a personal mission.

Regardless of "equal opportunities" the "old world" Gamma's are no better than aristocratic kings and queens who don't have the time or patience to give everyone a fair chance at employment. That's why we end up getting "tested" in some ridiculously unfair ways to weed out the unsuitable candidates from the suitable.

Okay so my solution is to rebel in a constructive way. Declare your individualistic insanity. Live off The State as a "clinical alien". No, just kidding.

It's a tough one to call when the world is always biased in one way or another. I personally feel as an individualist that the process of securing jobs and employments is always a struggle and rarely rewarding with all the efforts I put in to writing the "perfect" CV & covering letter and preparation of interviews.

What then has "get yourself across to the interviewer as a 'person' not an 'android'" got to do with potentially ending up as a valued member of the company who shows his concerns for other human beings more through his dedication and enthusiasm for his work than mere social chit-chat and tea-making? Goodness that I should know. For every ten persons we should have at least one android. No jokes, I'm serious.

And the solution is: a new law for discrimination against the inalienable rights of an individualist.

Conclusions

  • Alpha CREATES something new with child-like wonder as to its benefits;
  • Beta MOULDS Alpha's creation to compete head-on with Gamma's business empires;
  • Gamma EXPLOITS Alpha-Beta alliances aiming to suck dry all that youthful knowledge and enthusiasm;
  • Delta RETREATS into mass servitude seldom questioning the status quo;

The "young worlds" of Alpha and Beta thus seem to me to gain more esteem and credibility as they grow older whilst the "old worlds" of Gamma and Delta appear to lose their esteem and credibility as they lose their youth.
