What is Socionics?
I personally classify Socionics as an "umbrella" for all-things Sociology, Social Psychology and Typology. Together they form a good basis for understanding the key differences in people when viewed as "types" within a social-scientific system of lifestyles and ways of thinking.
Why Socionics?
It allows the average Joe to gain a deeper appreciation of other people and may answer questions of how a person is different from one's self.
Who founded Socionics?
It takes previous works from Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud and Antoni Kepinsky which Ausra Augusta, the founder of Socionics, put together to form this "umbrella" theorem that can explain a lot in the realm of how society works.
How does Socionics matter?
By looking at divisions and subdivisions that society has been grouped in from a Socionics perspective one can now see how society has essentially formed itself with key elements of Science, Art, Business and of course, Community.
Does personality type matter to the average Joe?
I would have to say that it does especially when working in a team or organisation. By knowing about distinct small and big strengths of other "types" one gains appreciations of how different people can achieve goals together.
What does T.E.A.M. stand for?
As far as I know it stands for Together Everyone Achieves More which is the idea behind teamwork.
Does inter-type relations matter to the average Joe?
Again I would have to say that in business and when achieving goals it is very important. However it would also be wise of me to say that people are not perfect despite working within this social system. In other words I believe *any* relationship can work with a good appreciation of the other party or parties involved when people are described as "types".
What is the future of Socionics?
After those initial awe and somewhat spooky moments of self-realisation a person will likely get on with their lives as before albeit with new appreciations of self and society. In other words, its feelings that count at the end of the day in romantic relationships although in business its more important to concern one's self with strong logic I believe.
